WHAT'S HAPPENING MAYNE ISLAND
Welcome to the Mayne Island Events Calendar, your guide to upcoming local markets, community gatherings, live music, and special events across the island. Explore the listings below or switch to the monthly calendar view.
Deer, Land, and Food Systems | Fallow Deer, Hunting, and Firearms Use & Policy on Mayne Island
Most of the conversation about deer on Mayne Island is happening without direct contact with the system itself. This session closes that gap. Grounded in several years of continuous, land-based work—harvesting, processing, observing, and feeding people—this is a clear look at what is actually happening on the ground, and where current narratives fall short. We track & hunt herds, record their health (injuries, deformities, tick-load, overall condition, reproduction, diet, age etc.) Please visit the website for more information and to reserve your spot.
Mayne Island Apple Festival
Celebrate the bounty of the island's harvest at this community-wide event. The Apple Festival highlights Mayne Island’s unique fruit-growing history with tastings, local orchard showcases, and various apple-themed activities for all ages.
